Grandma
We had a blast with Grandma! We did the whole Arch experience.
We were in pod #5. All of us just barely fit. Don't do this is you are claustrophobic!
Chloe and Rhett enjoying the view.
We even went a Riverboat tour on the Mississippi River. Grandma taught Luke how to spell Mississippi. Thanks Mom;) As if Luke doesn't talk enough!
We even did the zoo in the cold weather. We didn't let the cold stop us from having fun. Thank you mom for a wonderful trip. We did so many fun things. I am still trying to catch up on sleep!
Halloween Habits
Every Halloween Season there are some "must do" activities. There is the pumpkin patch, painting pumpkins, carving pumpkins, and trick-or-treating. In St. Louis people actually expect you to tell a joke in order to get a treat. Here are Luke and Chloe's jokes....
Luke: "Why couldn't Dracula play baseball?
Because he lost his bat!"
Chloe: "What do witches put in their hair?
Scare spray!"
Doing Things With Dad
We finally took a family field trip to Kyle's work. The kids had fun seeing where dad "actually lives, sleeps and eats!"
Kyle and Luke got to go to a Cardinals game. There was a guy walking around selling and shouting out "Cold Beer!" Luke kept saying "Dad I love beer. Let's get some beer." That went on most of the night till Kyle realized Luke thought it was ROOT BEER! Wednesday, September 26, 2012
First's
Luke's first day for 1st Grade. His teacher is Ms. Peterman. She is amazing, expects alot, but silly. Just what Luke needs. When he came home he said, "1st Grade isn't as hard as I thought it would be."
The first week of school they did all their safety drills. Luke came home and said, "We did a fire drill, earthquake drill, tornado drill, and an intruder drill." I asked Luke what do you do for an intruder drill. He said, "You hide in a closet and be quiet." What has this world come to.
Luke also started soccer. He is playing with Assumption again. He likes is way better than baseball. He says he likes to run and play fun games at practice.
Chloe started preschool at First Impression. Everyday she asks me, "Do I get to go to school today?" I CAN NOT believe she will start Kindergarten next year.
Chloe started ballet. A friend of mine teaches it in her basement. The first couple days before and after her first class she would not take her ballet shoes off.
Birthday's
The kids had low key birthday's this year.
Luke is 6! We had fun with his cousins.
Thanks Hil for making Luke a poster. He was sooooooo pleased!
Chloe is 4!
Yes, the cake is supposed to be cut into a heart. Sorry Chloe sad attempt. :(
Kyle even got called in before we could cut the cake. I promise a better one next year.
Vistors to St. Loui
Abby was kind enough to drive home with me. We left at 5am and got home at 3am the next day. it was crazy, but the kids were great and we had fun.
The kids got a trampoline for their birthday. Abby helped me put it together and she stretched every spring 1 1/2 times bc we messed up. She is so super strong!
At the Arch
Magic House fun!
The Iorg's came to visit. Even Chloe and Leah got along.... most of the time :)
Hobbs Fun
Another fun and successful sisters trip
Jake's hike.
My kids could actually climb the rocks by themselves!
Bridal Veil Falls.
It's all fun and games throwing rocks until Tyson got nailed in the head!
On your mark, get set, go, Hobbs Family Olympics!
Chloe was so pleased to get a medal. Check out that smile.
Nice torch. May the flame never go out....
Dad made this train for Jake and the kids still love it.
Luke was finally brave enough to ride Rincon by himself.
Showing off our boots.
Bee's baseball game. The fireworks were awesome.
Jordanelle Reservoir..... the only "beach" our kids have been to. Pretty sad for being a CA girl.
