Odds and Ends

This is what else we have been up to...

Playing outside.

Chillin' at the Zoo.

KC Reunion in St. Louis.

Playing at the Arch with the Barkers.

We were quite the gang with 7 kids following us around all over the sites in St. Loui!

Enjoying the temple. It is wonderful to be so close.

Picking peaches. Oh so good. I made Hilary's famous peach pie. To die for!

Kindergarten

Luke started Kindergarten! The first few days were a little rough. Infact, that experience was the inspiration for the talk I gave in Stake Conference this weekend.

He has adjusted so well and LOVES school. In less than a month he is sounding out words on his own and writing phrases about the pictures he draws. It is so fun to see him grow and learn.

Rhett Update

Rhett got 4 teeth is about 2 weeks. It was a little intense, but at least they came in quick unlike Luke and Chloe. He is just a stud.
Try as I might I can't get this kid to eat table food. He DEVOURS baby food. He prefers veggies over fruit and he could eat rice and oatmeal cereal all day. What's up with that?

And look at those blue eyes!

He also learned how to crawl. This video is his first time. Sorry about Chloe. I was so excited he was crawling I didn't realize she was out of the tub and showing it all!

Birthday Blastsssss!

Luke celebrated his 5th Birthday. He will be starting kindergarten in a few weeks. I remember thinking about this day when we first started medical school. We just had one kid and I thought residency would never come and that Luke would never be 5 and here we are...

Love you Luke!

We spent his birthday with all of his cousins at a hotel in Page, AZ in great anticipation for the house boat!

Chloe celebrated her birthday today. She is our princess. She is so into nail polish and lip gloss I don't know what I am going to do. She even tried to paint Kyle's toe nails tonight. He would have none of it!

We love you Chloe!

This video is hilarious! I asked Chloe what she wanted to name her Barbie and she came up with "Gemisence!" all of her own. I have no idea how she thinks of these things. She is going to be my best buddy as she grows up!

Lake Powell and Other Utah Adventures

We had a great time at the Hobbs Farm once again.
This is all the cousins hanging out in the creek bed going on a "hike".

Here are the boys hanging out at our traditional hot dog roast.

The girls at Lake Powell. Why am I always the whitest one?!

Luke and Chloe were not fans of the water. Um..... well what else are you supposed to do at Lake Powell. So they just sweat to death playing in the sand.

Rhett lived in the Bumbo on the boat. He is such a trooper!

Here is Farmer Jake. We will miss him when he goes on his mission. He is such an incredible person. Love you Jake!

And by the end of the trip we were all so exhausted the kids were falling asleep on ice chests!

Rhett's Lips

Rhett has these killer lips. They are so cute and he does the funniest thing with them. I hope you laugh as much as I did!

Grandpa Frayne

My dear Grandpa Frayne passed away last week. We were not able to make it to the funeral on Friday so we decided to dedicate the day to him.

We started the morning off eating oatmeal. This was in honor of "Grandpa you flooded me out!" When I was about 4 or 5 grandpa made me oatmeal and drowned it with milk just how he liked to eat it, but it did not fit my fancy. We have used that quote my whole life and laugh every time.

For lunch we had "Salvation Savve (PB) & Jelly Sandwiches". I think I gained my love of peanut butter from my Grandpa Frayne.

Then we played a mean round of miniature golf since golfing was one of his favorite things.

We came home and enjoyed a thirst quenching snack of Peanuts and Pepsi. My kids loved it!

Then we spent the night with friends at a BBQ and finished off the night with Frozen Twinkies.

We love you Grandpa. You have filled our lives with so many great memories. I am thankful for eternal families and that we will be able to see him once again.
