Kansas City Temple Trip

We spent Easter in Kansas City with our great friends the Barkers. We had a delightful time and we even got to go to the Open House of the new Kansas City Temple. It was beautiful. Here is a link that talks about temples and why we build them and why they are so important.

 Egg Hunt Easter morning.
 Our Sunday Best!
Fountains in front of the temple
This is us right before we were going into the temple. Chloe was crying because she hated the the booties and Luke always whines when it is sunny. Not a good start to a revernt activity!
At the Edge Gym. One of our favorite places in KC. It was pretty hot in there so the kids cheeks are super rosy.

Random Fun

Here are some catch-up pictures....
This is how Rhett sleeps. On stomach and feet always crossed. And yes, his socks don't match.:)
Summer Super Hero with swimming goggles and beach towel.

These glasses always crack me up!
Our only snow this year. What a sad snowman. :(
Jen came to visit. I love every ones face in this picture. It just shows how much fun they all have together!
 My boys love Jenny.
Luke was getting dressed for church and he came out looking like this. He said, "Hey mom, I'm Justin Beiber!" How does he even know who that is?
The beginnings of a Cardinals fan.

Zoo Fun

We went to the Zoo for Spring break. We bummed around with the Smith's our great new found friends in St. Louis. It was a beautiful day and the kids always love seeing the animals!

The Best Examples

Our children are the best examples. They are so Christ-like. Chloe just started pre-school at the high school. One of the high school student teachers is in my Sunday School class and she shared this story with me today.
Chloe had a table full of pre-school kids that she was serving play food. You can just see Chloe bustling around pretending to feed everyone. But just as everyone was about to start "eating", she said, "STOP! We need to say a prayer first." She made everyone fold their arms and the student teacher offered the prayer.
Children are humble and always willing to share their sweet, simple testimonies. They always stand as witnesses of Christ. Thank you Chloe!

Clumsy Chloe

Chloe had a rough couple weeks. He started with a cracked chin by slipping in the tub. Just like her mom oh so many years ago! They she cracked her head open on the fireplace. We were playing a roughty round of duck duck goose and it got out of hand. Poor Chloe!
But you know what? Even though she needed stiches or glue both times we didn't have to go to the ER. That is one of the perks of being married to a doctor. He just glued it right up. Chloe loves her Dad!

Blue Eyes

Can you believe those blue eyes?! Talented Ali was nice enough to take Rhett's one year old pictures. This cute boy is a joy. He loves food, music, learning to do stairs, has 12 teeth, gives kisses, barks like a dog, and says the following words: ma, dada, bye-bye, ball, uh-oh, and deer. Love you Rhett!
