Kyle's Birthday
Kyle is 30!!!! Well he may be 30, but he looks like he is 19 :) Thanks Ross and Kay for the young looking husband!
Our dear friends John and Sarah have to move back to Fiji. We have enjoyed their friendship and hope to visit them.... um maybe in 7 years with our first real pay check!
Uncle Garrett came to visit and we had a great time. The kids love him and still talk about him. We are so happy that he is going to Dipnotorkhgaksjdf.......? Ukraine. Very exciting!

They had face painting at our library last week. Luke LOVED his batman face. He felt like the coolest kid on the block. Chloe on the other hand was freaked out by Luke and cried every time she looked at him. After baths that night Chloe kept saying, "Batman all gone?" She was very relieved!

Match It Right: An Awesome Invention
So one of the most creative women I have ever met, "The Marble Lady" (www.themarblelady.com) has come up with a new invention. She is dear friend of mine so please check out her new product.
It is called Match it Right (get it... the box looks like a match box!). It is a color coordination kit that has 600 color swatches with a peek-a-boo hole to it is easy to hold it over an object and match the color. It includes the color wheel, a little notepad and pencil for writing down colors, and a tape measure. And believe it or not she worked her rear off getting everything American made! Some one said, "It is like having a teeny tiny interior designer in a box".
Now you can stop lugging around bulky items to match colors. It really is very clever. The website is http://www.matchitright.com/ and it is $19.95 with an introductory free shipping and handling. So check it out!

Heidi Time
So I been having some great Heidi time. Thanks to the help of Kyle and a few friends I was able to leave the kids and head to my mom's law school graduation. Yes, I am so proud of my mom. She is a BYU law school grad!
We like to think of her as Reese Witherspoon in "Legally Blonde". So many parallels: Her beautiful blonde hair, her killer "bend and snap", her crazy good legal jargon, studying on a treadmill, and yes, she has even been known to stop for a manicure in the middle of a very bad day! And as Reese would say, "We did it!"
I also got to go repelling, rock climbing and zip-lining with our Relief Society at church. I was kind of nervous at first, but after doing it a couple times it was so much fun. I was very impressed with all the ladies and their skills! I especially loved how we all looked in our harnesses. We were workin' it!

Family Fun
We LOVE the sring weather. We have been doing lots of things as a family outside.

Kyle has a few days off so we headed to the Zoo. Chloe screamed at the sea lion show and Luke cheered. That is how it goes with them. They can never be happy with the same thing at the same time.
Luke also started playing soccer. I was hoping he would be the go-getter, toughest kid on the team, but I was greatly mistaken. He prances around, picks dandelions and rocks from the field, talks to the goalies, laughs when he chases the ball, and lives for the water break. Oh well, he is only 3 and he just looks so cute. I hope it changes!
P.S. A friend and I did a Lip Sync last weekend. It was fun to break out my old cheer costumes!

Easter Fun
Luke and Chloe are getting to the age where holidays are really fun. We enjoyed our Easter traditions, but were especially glad to listen to the prophets and apostles speak in General Conference. It helped us focus our Easter celebration around Christ, His atonement, and resurrection.
Pre-Easter egg hunt excitement!

In the action of the hunt.

Dying Easter eggs.

Assembling Luke's Easter bike. It was taking Kyle back to when he was 8! His sweet face was expressing his delight with the incompetent instructions!

Luke enjoying his bike. Kyle kept saying Chloe got the shaft because all she got was candy and bubbles, but for those of you who know Chloe well, realize that a piece of chocolate is like gold to her!

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Hope you are having a jolly green day St Patty's Day. This is a shout out to my mom who passed on the festive gene to all her kids. So far today we have had green pancakes, green PB honey sandwiches and a green smoothie. Some of my greatest memories growing up are the fun holidays my mom created. So thanks mom!
So Chloe has not eaten a vegetable since she stopped eating baby food. Seriously! Every time she puts a veggie in her mouth she says, "Yutty!" But we have witnessed a miracle! The last two nights she devoured asparagus and broccoli and even asked, "More mease!" I know it sounds crazy, but I kind of started to cry. Being a dietitian and all I have been trying to stay calm about her eating and not control/force her, but the relief I felt was well... GREAT. I know I am silly, but it was a great moment for me. Now that I wrote this I am sure I will chinks myself and Chloe, but oh well. I am happy for now!
Luke is all about dressing up these days and pretending things. He is following in his mothers footsteps. Except I won't make fun of him like my family made fun of me!!! :)
