I saw my kids about 4 hours the whole week and slept an average of 3 to 4 hours a night. It was insane. Our only saving grace was Kay, Kyle's mom. She was in town for a visit and extended her stay for almost a week. She single handily took care of Luke and Chloe so that Kyle and I could live at the hospital. Thank you!! And thank you to all our other great friends who offered service in ways that we didn't know we needed, but we did!

Hospital Hell
Unfortunately Rhett got RSV and pneumonia at 6 weeks old, which is a very bad thing. We were in the hospital for 7 days. Rhett had oxygen, a feeding tube, was catheterized 2 times, deep nasal suctioning, breathing treatments, 2 IV sites that took 6 tries and multiple nurses to get, blood drawn, antibiotics, and dozens of hour long coughing fits. It was quite the ordeal.

One Month Old
Rhett at one month old. He is kind of bipolar. He can be happy as can be one second and then screaming the next. Although he can be grumpy, one thing for sure is that he has a killer smile!
Siblings
Luke and Chloe can not keep their hands off of Rhett. I sound like a broken record, "Don't step on your brother. You can't pick him up. No more kisses. Soft! Soft!! Soft!!!"

Rhett Hobbs McClintock
Rhett Hobbs McClintock was born Sunday, January 9, 2011! He came much faster than our other kids. I labored a little too long at home and by the time we got to the hospital I was dilated to 9 1/2. I begged and pleaded for an epidural, but it was a no go. My nurse was a lady from our church and I looked at her with desperation in my eyes and said, "Sally, be honest with me, how likely is it that I will get an epidural?" And she said, "Honestly, it is not very likely they can do it in time." I thought I would die, but I made it because he came quickly. We got to the hospital at 9:30pm and he was born at 10:10pm.
He is our first non-red head, but he has chubby cheeks, dimples, and blue eyes. The day after he was born we had the hugest snow storm of the year so it was good he came when he did or getting to the hospital might have been tricky. Grandma Hobbs came the day we got home from the hospital and she did an excellent job taking care of our other 2 monsters. Thank you to her and all our other friends that helped so much.

Happy New Year!
We had a blast and spent the New Year with our fellow Riverside Townhouse, 4th year med students. We don't see each other has much as we would like now that clinical rotations have pulled everyone in different directions. It was great to catch up and blissfully celebrate 2011, the year we have all been waiting for graduation!
Class of 2011! These are the 4 studs of their class.

When we all moved to KC and started school there were only 3 kids between all 4 couples. By the time we graduate there will be 10 kids! That is some high quality procreation!

No New Year baby for me. Yes, I am still pregnant. Will this baby ever come?

Christmas 2010
Merry Christmas!
Cookies and milk for Santa and of course a carrot for Rudolph.
We had a great Christmas this year, just staying at home. It was the first time we set up our own tree in 4 years. Ross and Kay came to visit. Kay and I did fun things around KC to stay out of the cold, while Kyle and Ross went out it in the freezing weather almost every day for none other than the chance at a ..... "BIG BUCK"! They are crazy, but survived with a lot of hand a foot warmers.
We are killer bowlers! We used a ramp and bumpers and we still did not break 100. :)
Kids making a ginger bread house with Grammy. Well, actually kids eating candy while Grammy made the ginder bread house!
Papa and his big kill. The first thing Luke did when he saw the dear was poke it's eye! Sick!!
Cookies and milk for Santa and of course a carrot for Rudolph.
Christmas PJs from "Mrs. Santa". It is a must have tradition in our house and the kids even danced to the Oakridge Boys Christmas, much to Kyle's dismay. He makes fun of me when I jam out to that CD every year.

Happy Birthday to Grammy. It is fun that we get to celebrate her birthday with her every other year since it is on Christmas.
