Working in the Yard

We lost 2 hug oak trees in our backyard this spring. So sad! They died of a nasty disease. Needless to say it left a hug mess in our yard. It took weeks to clean up!

Rhett was a good helper. He insisted on wearing gloves!

My 2 neighbors Jack and Ginny helped us a ton with the clean up. Rhett has a crush on Ginny and visa versa. Ginny helps me with all my yard projects.

After it was all cleaned up we planted a garden. So far we have eaten a lot of snap peas and we are waiting for the rest.

Over all we survived the ordeal until I got poison ivy and almost died from itching to death. I am soooooooooooooo careful now!

Last Easter in KC:(

We headed to Kansas City for Easter. We continued our 5 year tradition of Easter with the Barkers. They are moving farther away so this may be our last Easter for a while. They are always so gracious. They let us come even though they have a 2 month old baby, are getting ready to move, and have other crazy things happening in their lives. Thank you so much!
Lego land... kind of a bust... not very big and our kids cried on the lame rides... but we had free kid tickets so I guess it's ok.
Chloe loved this life size Lego girl!

Perfect for Rhett. He is obsessed with animals.

Dyeing eggs. Rhett poke his finger into every egg he dyed. Thank you!

Enjoying the fruits of his egg hunt!

Chloe had a blast with Emma. They both don't have a sister so they call each other "sister" and just have a blast together.

Love that face!

Gma Made Nashville Possible!

Grandma came to visit! She held down the fort for a couple days while Kyle and I headed to Nashville! Thank you so much mom. Kyle and I haven't had that much fun in a loooong time!
Chloe the hair dresser. Her version of Fancy Nancy!

Yes it was snowing in March. I had plans to go to see the Budweiser Clydesdales and walk the botanical gardens, but instead we went sledding. :( Dang snow in!

Grandma left the kids with these giant nesting eggs. They wore them on their heads all day for the few days after she left. They looked hilarious!
Outside Grand Ole Opry House. Also right next to the outlet mall!! Kyle is my favorite shopping partner. He has good taste, but he isn't indecisive like a girl. Thanks for sprucing me up!

County music hall of fame. Got to love the pic when you are the one holding the camera. Looks like a got a nose job or need one!:)

Elvis sat at this very piano (one of his favorite) and recorded tons of songs in this very recording studio. Super cool.

Our Grand Ole Opry tour. We loved Nashville. People were playing music every where any time of the day. The food is good and the history of music is so fun to learn about!

Spotlight

I just wanted to spotlight what's been going on with each of our kids the last few months.

LUKE
Luke performed in his schools Readers Theater! He was so animated and shined confront of a couple hundred people. He was Piggy from the Piggy and Gerald books. His story was a cross between Piggy and Gerald and Skippy John Jones. Very funny!

We call this mustache the Barry look alike. Go Grandpa!

Loving the SNOW DAYS!

Luke performed in the Talent Show in the 1st Graders skit. It was super hero based and he had a great time. Go Trautwein Elementary!!

Chloe
Chloe loves to cut and bag things. Weekly we clean out stack of cut paper from her drawers and you can find baggies within baggies within baggies of treasures.

Those darn glasses always fog up in the snow and make her face cold! A couple more years and then contacts. No more broken/crooked glasses.

Chloe had an ear tube removed. She got VIP treatment! Kyle was able to be back stage with her all the way because it was at his work. Perks of his profession.

Dazed after surgery attempting to eat her favorite treat... Chocolate pudding.

Kyle is working at the children's hospital for the next 3 months. He has to wear purple scrubs. We make fun of him! It's not very often that father and daughter have matching purple outfits!

Rhett
Tough guy/Cowboy/Cross-dresser!

I can't get enough of these boys rosy cheeks!!

Rocking and "rubberband"- translation headband and "gwoves":)

Not the most appropriate, but I COULD NOT RESIST. After I got Rhett out of the bath tonight I sent him to his room to get a diaper and this is how I found him! Classic!

Rhett Turned 2

Rhett is 2. He has mostly overcome his screaming addiction and is a lot of fun. He can say and do anything. He is so polite. He says "excuse me" and "thank you" a hundred times a day. He loves balls, animals, oranges, and keeping up with his older siblings. He is our most lovey of all our kids and we love to snuggle him.

Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas
Christmast Sunday Best!
Gingerbread houses with Grammy

Christmas Eve. Pjs from Ms. Claus and all.
Christmas morning waiting to go see what Santa brought.
Rhett scored a basketball hoop for his ball obsession.
Chloe got a doll house and a nutcraker.
Luke went crazy over his Wii. Our first gaming system and we all love it.
The whole family plays all the time.
Christmas day.
Happy Birthday Grammy! We were glad we got to spend the day with you.

Broken Everything!

December was the month of inconvinecnes. Kyle hit a deer so we were down to one car for 4 weeks! Super bummer, but my friends bailed me out and drove me and my kids around. Then Chloe broke her right arm. Good thing she is left handed. She was just running and tripped in our basement. Reminds me of myself.... I broke my arm when I was little when I fell of a 12" wall.
The smallest fall ever!

Of course Kyle was on call the night Chloe broke her arm. Luckily we had borrowed a car and my dear friend Ali came over to stay with Luke and Rhett. While we were gone Luke pulled out his own tooth. Tooth #5! Way to go Luke. Sorry I missed it.
Chloe's first cast. We decorated it very well. She had that for 2 weeks, a pink one for 2 weeks, and a splint for the last 2 weeks. She was a trooper!
Bathing was a treat......
Chloe's first dance recital, yes with a cast. She was very graceful.
Miss Katie her dance teacher.
The first snow in STL. Only a few inches, but we will take it!
