Parties Galore

Chloe turned 5 and Luke turned 7 and I had yet to throw a big friend birthday party for them.....
so I decided to go all out. So much FUN!!!

Chloe's Princess Party included a magic carpet cake walk, pass the poisonous apple, lantern making, hide the glass slipper, pin the kiss of the frog, mermaid race, dance party, crown decorating, and cupcake decorating! Man I out did myself.:)

Luke had a Ninja Party and it was based on a Ninja training camp. They had to master a ninja skill to get a prize and move onto the next exercise. It included ninja name decoding, "Sensei Says", chopstick challenge, an obstacle course (which included splitting a board with their bare hands!) and ninja balloon piƱata. By far the coolest party activity every.

The kids had to knock the balloons down with their swords and then pop the balloons to get the candy! It was a major hit!

Father's Day Victory!

Once again we held our Annual "Who's Your Daddy" father's day competition with the Shepherd's. We were victorious after a long 1 year absence from our trophy and title.
Rhett and Ruby get in the action.
Concentrate. Use those steady surgeon hands!
Albino Rudolph and lots of Vaseline on our noses....
This year we made the little girls do this. I got so sick last year from spinning around.
 You can get it Luke!
Kyle fell asleep like this.... he had a call shift the night before! :)
Basking in our glory!

Final Weeks of School

Luke was Toad in a Frog & Toad play at school. He was super animated as usual.
Chloe's Pre-recital pictures! They did a song with a Teddy Bear and one to "You Better Shop Around" with shopping carts.
Break a leg..... and dad can fix it later.
Chloe and I made cookies that matched the color of her costume. She was in heaven.

I was able to go to Utah to see Abby before she left on her Mission to Canada! Had a great time.
 Kyle turned 33! Ya baby!
Luke lost another tooth. This mouth is beggin' for some braces!
Summer has started. The first of many days playing in the sprinklers.
We went on a leisurely walk and came back soaked thanks to an awesome Missouri storm.
Luke's last day of 1st grade. He learned so much this year. Thanks Ms. Peterman!
Chloe's preschool graduation. She will be heading off to Kindergarten.

Working in the Yard

We lost 2 hug oak trees in our backyard this spring. So sad! They died of a nasty disease. Needless to say it left a hug mess in our yard. It took weeks to clean up!

Rhett was a good helper. He insisted on wearing gloves!

My 2 neighbors Jack and Ginny helped us a ton with the clean up. Rhett has a crush on Ginny and visa versa. Ginny helps me with all my yard projects.

After it was all cleaned up we planted a garden. So far we have eaten a lot of snap peas and we are waiting for the rest.

Over all we survived the ordeal until I got poison ivy and almost died from itching to death. I am soooooooooooooo careful now!

Last Easter in KC:(

We headed to Kansas City for Easter. We continued our 5 year tradition of Easter with the Barkers. They are moving farther away so this may be our last Easter for a while. They are always so gracious. They let us come even though they have a 2 month old baby, are getting ready to move, and have other crazy things happening in their lives. Thank you so much!
Lego land... kind of a bust... not very big and our kids cried on the lame rides... but we had free kid tickets so I guess it's ok.
Chloe loved this life size Lego girl!

Perfect for Rhett. He is obsessed with animals.

Dyeing eggs. Rhett poke his finger into every egg he dyed. Thank you!

Enjoying the fruits of his egg hunt!

Chloe had a blast with Emma. They both don't have a sister so they call each other "sister" and just have a blast together.

Love that face!

Gma Made Nashville Possible!

Grandma came to visit! She held down the fort for a couple days while Kyle and I headed to Nashville! Thank you so much mom. Kyle and I haven't had that much fun in a loooong time!
Chloe the hair dresser. Her version of Fancy Nancy!

Yes it was snowing in March. I had plans to go to see the Budweiser Clydesdales and walk the botanical gardens, but instead we went sledding. :( Dang snow in!

Grandma left the kids with these giant nesting eggs. They wore them on their heads all day for the few days after she left. They looked hilarious!
Outside Grand Ole Opry House. Also right next to the outlet mall!! Kyle is my favorite shopping partner. He has good taste, but he isn't indecisive like a girl. Thanks for sprucing me up!

County music hall of fame. Got to love the pic when you are the one holding the camera. Looks like a got a nose job or need one!:)

Elvis sat at this very piano (one of his favorite) and recorded tons of songs in this very recording studio. Super cool.

Our Grand Ole Opry tour. We loved Nashville. People were playing music every where any time of the day. The food is good and the history of music is so fun to learn about!
